Flip Happy :)

Yes, Austin has endless food trailers; from tacos, to Vietnamese, to cupcakes, to everything in a cone- there is never a shortage of quick places to grab a bite. And one of these Austin trailers offers crepes, yes dear reader, crepes. Flip Happy is located one block away from Romeo’s off of Barton Springs road on 400 Josephine Street 78704. Hidden between newly built condos and several other restaurants located near downtown, Flip Happy’s odd hours do not even begin to decrease the amount of customers that flood in on the rare days and strange times that they are open. This all-crepe-trailer offers lunch and dinner crepes, or what they call their ‘savory crepes’, and dessert crepes, or ‘sweet crepes’. Their ‘savory crepes’ include a roasted chicken crepe with caramelized onions and goat cheese to a smoked salmon crepe with herbed cream cheese and tomato that will make you want to never eat salmon another way again. Their ‘sweet crepes’ are delicious and endless, and of course include the all-famous crepe with nutella- which Flip Happy’s addition of your choice of fresh fruit, and my all-time favorite being the lemon curd with blueberry dressing. Although you may encounter a bit of a line Flip Happy’s friendly Austin environment definitely makes the wait enjoyable and well worth it.
