Austin Art Garage

I recently found out about the Austin Art Garage, which helps expose the talent of local Austin artists. There are nearly 40 different artists’ artworks on display, so there is plenty of diversity. The art work displayed at the Austin Art Garage is all made locally, and they have fairly affordable, one of a kind pieces. For those of you who love art, but are on a tight budget, the Austin Art Garage is the place to go. Not only will it reduce the burden of expensive pieces, but it will also help the local Austin community. The Art Garage receives artist submissions, as long as the artist lives in Austin, Texas. If they feel that the piece will fit in their gallery, the artist will be given an available space (if there is one). The gallery is actually currently full, as the Art Garage receives several pieces of new art every week.

I think it is great that the Austin Art Garage is trying to help local artists get more exposure and recognition. There are a lot of talented artists who are overlooked especially those who have just begun their artistic career. The Art Garage is a great way for local artists to start off their career.
